I'm a Drum & Bass DJ from a city near Bremen, Lower Saxony.
I'm also a software developer by passion and profession, so naturally i'm all about DJ software and hardware: Understanding how it works, why it was designed the way it was, how to get data in and out, and a lot of myth busting.
I also love teaching about DJing: Mixing techniques, mixing theory (phrasing), understanding DJ technology and music files, and how to organise a music collection and playlists.

Based between Copenhagen and Oslo, Kate Miao is a dynamic DJ and producer who seamlessly blends her dual passions for technology and electronic music. By day, she works as an IT professional at Microsoft; by night, she transforms into a techno powerhouse, delivering electrifying sets that push the boundaries of sound.

Known for her experimental approach, Kate’s music combines glitchy, trancy, and vocal elements with a focus on energy and flow. Her sets transcend the typical dancefloor experience, showcasing electronic music as a form of art.

In addition to her performances, Kate is the founder of Miao Music, a platform, label, and event series dedicated to celebrating diverse styles of electronic music. Through Miao Music, she has hosted successful events in both Copenhagen and Oslo, further contributing to the electronic music scene.
